A group of spinners at Fiber Space have been working through this book by Jacey Boggs Faulkner. We have spun short, medium, and long-staple fibers, down fibers, and now will be looking at double-coated wool like that you would find on an icelandic sheep. Once we have worked through the types of wool in the next few weeks, we will move on to different types of fiber preparation and spinning techniques with the goal of improving our spinning and producing the yarn we desire.
